Enable device location tracking on a project

In order to track device locations, you must first add the devices to a project. Then, you will need to navigate to the project Policies page and scroll down to the "Device Settings" section. Here you will find an option to change the "Location Settings".

  • Location Settings: Sets the accuracy level of the device's location setting.
  • Select Tracking Mode: Select the accuracy setting desired to locate devices. This setting will only be used as a priority for location requests.
  • Select Device Location Mode: Sets the accuracy level of the device's location setting. Supported on Android Oreo (8.1) and lower.
  • These settings will be reflected in the project dashboard, under 'Project Device Location'. Depending on the above settings, it shows the current location of devices within the current project and can be updated when the device checks in. For this to work, make sure that the device is on the project and has location tracking enabled.

After deploying the project changes, you should navigate to the Company devices page. Find the device(s) that you enabled location tracking on and select "Options" => "Manage" => "More Information". You should then scroll to the right of the information display and select the "Location" tab.
